Exhibition: Unparalleled business and networking platform
The international exhibition not only grew in terms of exhibition space, but also the exhibitor and visitor numbers increased in comparison to the last EMV in Dusseldorf, 2016: 115 exhibitors (+ 8%) made use of the EMV as a central business and communication platform. Around 3,461 visitors (+ 5%) were able to gain up-to-date knowledge on the latest trends and developments in the field of EMC laboratories, measuring and test systems, simulation software and high-frequency technology.
Dr. Diethard Hansen from EURO EMC SERVICE (EES) Dr. Hansen Consulting, Switzerland described the event:
“The EMV is the largest and most significant event on electromagnetic compatibility in Europe. In this familiar atmosphere and over a course of three days, the opportunity to hold personal talks is the most important aspect of the event. This is simply because nothing can replace direct interaction between people.”
Conference: Top speakers from science and industry
At the parallel conference, tutorials and workshops renowned international experts held presentations on current EMC trends. Participants learned about the latest scientific findings, regulations and innovations in almost 100 lectures. A particular highlight was the plenary speech given by Prof Dr Jürgen Karl Peissig, Institute for Communication Technology, Leibniz University Hanover. In his German-language lecture entitled "Virtual Acoustics in Augmented and Mixed Reality", Professor Peissig offered a comprehensive overview of how augmented and mixed reality can blur the line between the real and the virtual world in the field of acoustics.
Exhibition Forum: Compact presentations
The exhibition forum 2018 offered a variety of informative presentations and various product presentations by exhibitors. For international visitors, the forum offered numerous interesting contributions including two English-language compact seminars with the titles "Wireless EMC" and "When Black Magic Disappears: EMI and Solutions".
High-caliber dialogue and exchange platform
Once again the EMV 2018 has proved to be an ideal facilitator for current and relevant dialogue between users and experts, thus confirming its position as one of the leading European events in the field of electromagnetic compatibility.
The 2018 figures at a glance:
