On more than 4,200 square meters a total of 121 exhibitors showcased their products and services and were thoroughly satisfied with the in-depth talks held with visitors.
Valuable business- and networking platform
This year, the exhibition was, once again the meeting point for decision-making EMC specialists. 2,779 trade visitors gained information on the latest developments in the areas of EMC labs, measurement and test systems, simulation software as well as high-frequency technology.
Those requiring an overview of the innovations on show was able to find out more at the exhibition forum. The 20-minute product presentations held by exhibitors as well as the compact seminars were accessible to all visitors and workshop participants.
"The EMV is a win-win situation for me. The exhibition is compact and everyone is familiar with the offering at hand. In combination with the workshops, the event is characterized by three components: Networking, further training opportunities and new trends", explains Jens Greiner, Managing Director of aktivEngineering GmbH and visitor of the EMV.
Comprehensive further training program with practical relevance
At the same time as the exhibition, 40 workshop with 1,043 bookings in total, took place. The workshops served as an individual further training platform offering participants a varied and high-caliber program. The following workshops were of particular interest:
- EMC knowledge for beginners and career-changers, Professor Matthias Richter, University of Applied Sciences Zwickau
- Provisions for measurement inaccuracies for immunity tests, Dr. Bernd Jäkel, Siemens AG
- Electromagnetics and Compatibility Made Simple - Part 2: Power Distribution Design on Printed Circuit Boards, Mark Montrose, Montrose Compliance Serv., Inc.
The workshop on fundamental knowledge for beginners and career-changers is one of the most popular at the EMV event. Speaker Professor Matthias Richter from the Zwickau University of Applied Science explains this as follows:
"The number of basic courses for career-changers in the field of EMC is quite low. Above all when in combination with application-oriented consolidation sessions. In addition to numerous special topics, the EMV event workshops offer the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge in a three-hour period. This range of EMC topics makes the event unique".
The EMV event once again proved to be an ideal platform for dialogue between end-users and experts. The exhibition confirmed its position as one of the leading European events in the field of electromagnetic compatibility.
