Analysis of the EMV 2019: Event remains important industry meeting point

The analysis of the EMV 2019 confirms that the international exhibition, with practice-oriented workshops, once again successfully presented itself as a pioneering industry meeting point for electromagnetic compatibility in Stuttgart from 19 - 21 March 2019.

Exhibition consolidates its position as business platform

At the exhibition, 121 exhibitors presented their products and solutions on an area of 4,200 sqm. 38% of the exhibitors came from abroad, most of them from the USA, France, Great Britain, Switzerland and Sweden. The exhibiting companies stated that their main goals for participating in the EMV were to acquire new customers, maintain existing client relationships and showcase their presence in the industry.

95% of the exhibitors were extremely satisfied with their participation in the event; 91% praised the high quality of the conversations and just as many companies said they would exhibit at the EMV again.

Visitors provide positive feedback

The visitors were also impressed by the EMV 2019, 95% of them were satisfied with their participation and 85% rated the quality of the discussions with exhibitors as "good" to "very good". 88% of the visitors would recommend the event to others. When asked what goals they were aiming to achieve at the exhibition, 71% said they wanted to find out about new products. For 70%, the exchange of experience and information was the main focus and 52% wanted to get an overview of the market.

Professor Jens Timmermann from the university “Duale Hochschule Ravensburg Campus Friedrichshafen” confirms the relevance of the EMV event as a platform for new products and findings: "The technologies are demonstrated at the EMV exhibition and you can experience them live. We have discussions with the exhibitors – you can't do any of that on the Internet".

Of the total of 2,779 visitors, 20% came from abroad, mainly from Switzerland, Russia, Poland, Italy and Great Britain. Most visitors came from the electronics and electrical engineering sectors (29%), measurement and control technology (17%) and services (13%). 87% of the visitors are directly involved in investment decisions.

Workshops offered a comprehensive range of further training options

32 speakers held a total of 40 practical workshops on all aspects of electromagnetic compatibility. With 1,043 workshop bookings, the EMV 2019 training program was a complete success. 92% of the participants were "very satisfied" or "satisfied" with attending the workshops. As an expectation for the workshops, 95% stated that they would like to further their education and acquire specialist knowledge. 42% were interested in new products and trends and 38% in exchanging ideas with colleagues.
