Information for conference speakers
Conference contribution with full paper
Each participant will receive a digital version of the conference proceedings for the event. This summary of all conference contributions serves as a working basis and reference work for the participants. The proceedings of the EMV conference do not have an ISBN number, however, the individual contributions will be provided with DOI numbers approx. 2 months after the event and added to the repository of the Technical Information Library (Open Access) and are therefore citable.
Please note the following when submitting
- For processing we need your final full paper as an unprotected PDF document (max. 10 MB).
- Please use the full paper template in Word or Overleaf (LaTeX gallery view, Overleaf zip file) which contains all the important specifications for formatting.
- The full papers are checked by the committee for up-to-dateness, comprehensibility, freedom of advertising etc.
- Please understand that papers submitted late may not be included in the conference proceedings.
- We will forward your full paper to the publisher without any further corrections.
Attention: Product presentations of any kind are not permitted. Accordingly, the documents must also be designed in a company-neutral manner.

Formatting and scope
- Min. 4 to max. 8 DIN A4 pages
- No page numbers, the pagination is done by the publisher
- Margins: left 2.2 cm, right 2.2 cm, top 2.2 cm, bottom 2.8 cm
- For font size see full paper template (page 2)
- Line spacing and layout: single column, justified, paragraphs within a section separated by a blank line
- Structure according to the decimal number system
- Images and graphics with consecutive numbering integrated into the text at the appropriate point

Conference contribution without full paper
Each participant will receive a digital version of the conference proceedings for the event. This summary of all conference contributions serves as a working basis and reference work for the participants. In the case of contributions with a full paper, the paper will be included in the proceedings. In the case of contributions without a full paper, only the abstract that we received from you as part of the call for papers will be included in the proceedings.
Attention: Product presentations of any kind are not permitted. Accordingly, the documents must also be designed in a company-neutral manner.
Presentation on-site
Presentation time
You have 20 minutes for your presentation and 10 minutes for discussions. If your lecture time has expired, the session chair is entitled to cancel your presentation.
Presentation slides
You are welcome to use our presentation template. This is already adapted to the format (16: 9). Important: Please send us your presentation by 4 July 2022 via email to anne.herr@mesago.com. We will prepare this for you on the notebook in the lecture room. To be on the safe side, please also bring your presentation slides on a stick with you to your lecture.
Meeting with the session chair
All speakers are asked to meet with their session chair in the lecture room 30 minutes before the start of the session for a brief preliminary discussion and preparation. The room number will be announced in the conference program.
Technical equipment
All rooms are equipped with a laptop, projector and microphone. If you need additional equipment, please let us know by 30 May 2022 at the latest by e-mail to anne.herr@mesago.com.
Information for workshop speakers
Workshop documentation
Each participant receives a documentation in digital form in advance and, if ordered, on site as a bound b/w printout. A sufficient number will be produced by Mesago and serves as a basis and reference for the participants.
Please note the following when submitting
- For the production of your copies, we need your documentation as an open pdf file (max. 10 MB).
- Please bear in mind that documentation that is delayed, cannot be produced by us. In this case, the workshop facilitator is responsible for the duplication.
- The submitted documentation will be forwarded to the print shop without further corrections of formatting or spelling mistakes.
Attention: Product presentations of any kind are not permitted. In line with this, your documentation should be prepared in a neutral way.
Formatting and scope
- Max. 80 pages DIN A4, max. two slides each page
- Consecutive page numbers
- Left side 3.0 cm margin for spiral binding
- Use decimal system for structure
- Embed pictures and graphics in the document, sufficient contrast because of b/w printout
- No colored backgrounds
- Front cover will be produced by Mesago

Presentation on-site
During your workshop, practical and application-oriented contents supplemented by experiments and simulations should be presented.
We strive to guarantee high quality workshops. Therefore please note that your presentation is designed as training only and that product presentations as well as marketing messages are not permitted
Presentation time
The duration of your workshop is 2 hours and 45 minutes (plus a 30 minutes coffee break). Please calculate at least 15 minutes for questions and discussions.
Presentation slides
You are welcome to use our presentation template. It is already adjusted to the final format (16:9).
Technical equipment
All rooms are equipped with a flipchart and projector. Important: Please bring your own laptop and your presentation. If you need any additional equipment, please send an order to anne.herr@mesago.com by 30 May 2022.
Your participation
Online registration
You will receive an email with registration information. In the course of your registration, you can also sign in for further workshops, the conference and the evening events. Please note that the online registration for your own lecture is compulsory by 30 May 2022 at the latest.
In case of non-participation
You are expected to hold your presentation in person. In case you are not able to hold your workshop or conference lecture in person we urge you to find an alternative speaker who can act as your substitute. Please inform us immediately via e-mail to anne.herr@mesago.com about any changes.
Co-speakers
Please ensure that we have the contact data of the co-speakers (workshops) or co-authors (conference) mentioned in the abstract. They may participate in further workshops or the conference at reduced fees. As soon as the online registration is available, they will receive an email with the relevant registration information.
