After a challenging year 2020, it is a matter close to our hearts as organizers to stage the EMV 2021 in its physical form again and to bring together suppliers and experts in the field of electromagnetic compatibility within the framework of the exhibition. Digital formats cannot completely replace personal exchanges. In order to protect the health of all those involved, we have prepared a comprehensive protection and hygiene concept together with Messe Stuttgart and the responsible authorities. This document will be updated as necessary to ensure that it always complies with the currently valid Corona regulations. (As of 12.10.2020)
Protection and hygiene measures
The decree of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Social Affairs for the containment of transmission of the corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) at exhibitions, fairs and congresses provides for a maximum number of visitors based on the event area.
Measured by the number of visitors to EMV in recent years and the size of the available event area, no visitor restrictions can be assumed for EMV 2021.
Ticket sales and voucher redemption take place exclusively in advance and online. Tickets are accessible via mobile devices and allow contactless access to the exhibition grounds. This means that all exhibition participants are already registered and authorized to access the exhibition grounds in advance, so there will be no queues in the ticket office area. The registration also ensures that the responsible health authority can quickly identify contact persons in the event of a corona infection.
In many areas of the exhibition center, cashless and contactless payment will be possible, in line with the solutions established in the retail sector.
The catering service providers at the Stuttgart trade fair grounds work in accordance with the protection and hygiene rules of the Corona Directive of the State of Baden-Württemberg valid at the time of the event.
With the help of access control and distance markers, queues are a thing of the past. Targeted visitor guidance additionally supports the observance of the minimum distance between all participants and is an integral part of our hygiene concept.
The use of floor markings and partitions ensures that there is sufficient space in the entrance areas and that an adequate safety distance can be maintained.
In order to relieve the aisles and avoid congestion, additional communication and rest zones with appropriate floor markings will be established.
All lecture areas are designed in such a way that the minimum distance of 1.5 m can be maintained.
The pre-defined number of participants per exhibition day ensures that the concentration of people on the exhibition grounds can be controlled.
A number of measures ensure that all trade fair participants can maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 m between each other.
In order to offer all trade fair participants the greatest possible safety, visual as well as acoustic information with general and special safety instructions is planned.
Hand washing facilities are available in high density and are clearly signposted. Hand disinfection dispensers are also located in the entrances and exits, bathroom facilities and in front of the catering areas. Furthermore, only disposable paper towels are used in the sanitary areas.
Frequently touched surfaces and contact surfaces (e.g. tables, handrails and door handles) as well as the sanitary facilities are regularly disinfected and cleaned for your safety.
At information booths or checkroom counters at the Stuttgart exhibition center, (plexi) glass partitions offer additional protection.
The entire exhibition grounds of the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre are equipped with a state-of-the-art building management system, which ensures an effective exchange of air in the exhibition halls and a continuous supply of fresh air by providing an increased volume of outside air.
Within the framework of EMV 2021, there will be sufficient medical personnel on site. You will find a designated station at the staircase from hall 1 to hall 3.
Recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute
For the safety of all participants we ask you to comply with the following recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute:
Please maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 meters between people throughout the entire exhibition grounds.
In principle, all persons over the age of seven are required to wear masks in the indoor areas of the exhibition grounds. The best way to implement this measure is with an everyday mask or alternatively with cloths or scarves made of dense fabric that completely cover the mouth and nose. The mouth-nose cover may be removed at the table at exhibition stands, provided that the minimum distance of 1.5 m can be safely maintained. In outdoor areas the wearing of the mouth-nose-covering is mandatory as soon as the minimum distance cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, please always carry a mask with you. If you forget or lose your mask, a limited number of standardized mouth-nose masks are available at central locations on the exhibition grounds. We continuously check whether and to what extent it is necessary to wear a mouth-nose cover. Please note that a face visor does not replace a mouth-nose cover.
We strongly recommend frequent and thorough hand washing. Hand washing and disinfection facilities are available at sufficient distance.
We kindly ask you to follow the standard sneezing and coughing etiquette.
If you have typical COVID-19 symptoms during your visit to the exhibition grounds, please contact the appropriate hotline of the responsible control center immediately and leave the exhibition grounds.
External call (e.g. mobile phone): +49 (0)711 - 18560 -7777
Stationary telephones on the premises (e.g. hall telephone): Extension -7777
Only visit the Messe Stuttgart exhibition grounds if you are in good health. Should you have had contact with a person infected with SARS-CoV-2 in the past 14 days, show symptoms of a respiratory tract infection or an elevated temperature, this unfortunately precludes a visit to the trade fair.
It is generally possible for trade fair participants from abroad to enter Germany. No travel restrictions apply for travelers from EU member states and from countries on the positive list.
Trade fair participants from all other countries can also enter Germany, as they are considered business travelers with an urgent need to travel.
Trade fair participants from these countries must provide proof of their participation in the trade fair when applying for a visa or respectively when entering Germany:
- Employees of exhibiting companies must present a confirmation of their participation in the fair from the trade fair organizer.
- Visitors to the trade fair must present their entry ticket to the trade fair and additionally provide proof of an appointment for a business meeting with at least one exhibitor at the location at the trade fair.
