Mode-Stirred Reverberation Chamber
Description
For 39 years, Siepel has been designing, manufacturing and installing mode stirring reverberation chambers (RVCs)
RVCs are dedicated to emission and electromagnetic immunity measurements at high field levels
They are used for military, aerospace and automotive applications in response to MIL STD, DO, EN and current automotive standards on a wide range of frequencies (from a few MHz to 18/40 GHz).
This test mean has the ability to produce statistically isotropic and uniform strong CW and pulse fields (several hundreds to thousands of V/m) with optimised input power (generation).
The choice of reverberation chamber will be a trade-off between three main criteria: .
- The Equipment Under Test (EUT) dimensions
- Frequency range of operation
- Power level available and field strength required
Siepel MSRCs series is called EOLE. Current standard models of reverberation chambers are characterized by their Lowest Usable Frequency (LUF) : from EOLE 80 to EOLE 1000
Depending on the expected performances and the frequency range of operation, the internal walls of a RVC can be made of steel or aluminum.
Based on its know-how, extensive research and modelling as well as feedback, Siepel is in the only supplier capable of modelling, manufacturing the shielded room and the stirrer as well as committing on minimum guaranteed field levels.
