The R&S®BBA300 family – a new solid-state broadband amplifier generation with greater robustness and availability

Flexible, configurable as single, dual or multiband amplifier system

The R&S®BBA300 broadband amplifiers are a new generation of highly compact solid-state broadband
amplifiers designed for high availability. They feature extremely wide, continuous frequency bands
extending up into the high microwave range, along with high linearity, outstanding noise power density and
excellent harmonic characteristics. They also boast high system configuration and operational settings flexibility.

The R&S®BBA300 is ideal for critical test environments such as EMC, product validation and OTA coexistence tests in the frequency range from 380 MHz to 6 GHz and an RF output power of up to 300 W P1dB.

The R&S®EPL1000 fully complies with CISPR16-1-1. The very fast time domain scan can check the complete CISPR bands A or B in a single shot. Built-in preselection ensures a high dynamic range and enables the acquisition of short pulses. The R&S®EPL1000 offers 4-channel click rate analysis, a real-time spectrogram function, IF analysis and further functions for detailed analysis. Automation simplifies measurements and ensures exact reproducibility of test sequences. These and many more functions make the R&S®EPL1000 ideal for conducted voltage and current measurements. Typical applications include precompliance measurements, precertification and certification in line with IEC, EN, CISPR and FCC.

The indispensable core component of every EMC test strategy

EMI test receivers; extremely accurate instruments designed to detect electromagnetic emissions rigorously, to ensure all emissions conform to the Standard being tested to. Configured to set up running the required tests for parameters defined by the Standards as simply as possible, including automated test routines. R&S EMI test receivers can be much more too, with a full signal and spectrum analyzer in the same instrument.

R&S EMI test receivers support the full range of commercial, automotive and military EMI Standards from all leading Standard authorities, including IEC, CISPR, CENELEC, ETSI, FCC, ANSI, RTCA and MIL-STD. All the latest amendments including the fast FFT-based time-domain scan that makes testing many times faster than conventional frequency scans, are all supported. The instruments cover all required frequency ranges up to 44 GHz, with frequencies up to 500 GHz supported by external mixers.

R&S supplies both full compliance and precompliance EMI test receivers. Fully compliant receivers implement all requirements of the above mentioned Standards, needed for certification testing. Precompliance receivers are an ideal cost/benefit solution for EMI testing during development. They implement bandwidths, limits and detectors defined by the standards, but do not entirely meet the exacting demands of full compliance.
