Wave Optics Module
Description
The Wave Optics Module, an add-on to the COMSOL Multiphysics® platform, is used by engineers and scientists to analyze, predict, and study the propagation of electromagnetic waves and resonance effects in optical applications. By examining electromagnetic field distributions, transmission and reflection coefficients, and power losses in a proposed design, this type of simulation enables the development of more efficient and high-performing products and technologies.
To optimize designs for photonic devices, integrated optics, waveguides, couplers, fiber optics, and more, it is crucial to consider real-world conditions. The multiphysics capabilities of the COMSOL Multiphysics® software allow you to investigate how additional physical effects influence optical structures, such as stress-optic, electro-optic, and acousto-optic effects, as well as electromagnetic heating.
