The E1 is a system of EMC tools for interference suppression of assemblies and devices during development. It is used to quickly and precisely identify the causes (weak points) of burst and ESD interference. The E1 enables the developer to select and dimension EMC measures to precisely match the weak point. The effectiveness of EMC measures can be tested with the E1. The test setup with the E1 is small and fits on the workstation of the electronics developer.

The E1 user manual describes EMC mechanisms of action and basic measurement strategies for interference suppression of printed circuit boards in detail. The E1 set includes a generator for generating burst and ESD interference.

The Rohde & Schwarz EPL1000 radio interference test receiver is a full compliance analyzer for fast and precise identification of electromagnetic interference (EMI) from 5 kHz to 30 MHz. Typical areas of application are pre-compliance measurements, pre-certifications and certifications according to IEC, EN, CISPR and FCC.

The EMI Test Receiver meets the requirements of CISPR16-1-1 and supports the 6 dB bandwidth in decimal steps required by the MIL-STD-461 and DIO-160 standards. With the additional features of a spectrum analyzer and a signal and tracking generator, the EPL1000 is ideal for various laboratory applications.

With its very fast time domain scan, the EPL1000 measures all frequencies of the CISPR bands A and B at once. In this way, even large frequency segments can be checked seamlessly over longer periods of time. The built-in preselection ensures a high dynamic range and enables the detection of short pulses. The R&S EPL1000 offers a spectrogram function and an IF analysis for detailed signal analysis.

The automation simplifies the measurements and ensures exact reproducibility of the test sequences. For example, all lines connected to a Rohde&Schwarz artificial network (LISN) can be checked at the push of a button. The comparison with the configured limit values also takes place automatically and the R&S EPL1000 displays the result of the entire measurement as PASS/FAIL. With the integrated report generator, the result and the measurement details can be easily saved and printed out.

With the optional integrated signal generator with tracking generator function, the transfer functions of the components used for the measurements can be determined quickly and easily without the need for an additional device.

The Rohde & Schwarz EPL1000 can be used very flexibly thanks to battery operation, the 12 V to 24 V DC input and the practical carrying case.

Pendulum SCN-534 / 6G | Detectus near field scanner 4D, EMV, 6 GHz, scanning area 300 mm x 200 mm x 100 mm

Pendulum SCN-534 / 6G | Detectus near field scanner 4D, EMV, 6 GHz, scanning area 300 mm x 200 mm x 100 mm

The Pendulum EMC Scanner SCN-534 of the Pendulum / Detectus SCN-500 series measures both electromagnetic emission and interference immunity. The measurement result is displayed as easy-to-interpret two- or three-dimensional colored maps (depending on the model) that clearly show hotspots in high resolution. Repeated measurements in the early stages of the design effectively reduce the risk of expensive and time-consuming redesigns.

For a complete measuring system you only need a normal PC, a spectrum analyzer and the scanner, which already contains a near-field probe kit including preamplifier and the scan software.

The EMV / EMC scanners of the Detectus SCN-500 series offer, thanks to the high step resolution of only 0.1 mm, an excellent price / performance ratio.

The SCN-500 series is available in three sizes and can be two- or four-dimensional. The 2D model only measures in the XY plane, while the 4D models measure in XYZ and also rotate the probe head around the Z axis. Each model can be equipped with a 3, 6 or 10 GHz probe set. There is also an option for precision laser distance measurement for the 4D models.

The model SCN-534-6G presented here is a 4D scanner with 6 GHz. It measures 300 x 200 x 100 mm and is ideal for customers with medium-sized products or PCBs that require rotation.

The model SCN-534 is also available as a 3 GHz variant (SCN-534 / 3G). The EMV scanners of the SCN-500 series are also available as 2D models with 200 x 100 mm (SCN-522) and other 4D models with 200 x 100 x 100 mm (SCN-524) and 600 x 400 x 300 mm (SCN- 564).

  • Effective shielding: The RF-X C tent offers a shielding attenuation of at least 75 dB (0.03-7 GHz) for precise EMC testing.
  • Optimized for Pendulum SCN-500: Specially designed to shield the Pendulum EMC scanner SCN-500 series.
  • Easy to use: Large interior, internal frame and large opening for easy access and placement.
  • Shielded cable duct: Makes it easier to insert and manage shielded cables.

The Shieldex HF shielding tent RF-X C was specially developed for the electromagnetic shielding of the Pendulum EMV scanner SCN-500.

The shielding tent consists of a three-layer conductive combination of metallized fabrics with a high shielding effect against electromagnetic fields, which prevents electromagnetic interference from the environment from being coupled into the test device, thus ensuring that EMC tests can be carried out precisely and repeatably. The RF-X C offers a shielding effectiveness of at least 75 dB in the frequency range from 0.03 to 8.

The EMI near-field scanners of the Pendulum SCN-500 series are used to test the radiated electrical or magnetic fields of electronic assemblies. The scanners are often used during development to ensure that the function of devices and systems is not impaired by electromagnetic interference.

The tent has an internal frame and offers good accessibility to the test device. The large opening allows you to easily place and operate the test device. The interior is sufficiently dimensioned so that, for example, there is space for a signal analyzer next to the scanner. A shielded cable duct makes it easier to insert shielded cables.
