Description

The FR4003 is the new gold standard in measuring electric fields up to 30 MHz. Thanks to its innovative approach it replaces traditional rod antennas and adds several benefits. It fully meets all MIL-STD and CISPR specifications for rod antennas and is also a fully-compliant CISPR 16-1-1 receiver with a fiber optic link that allows it to work as a stand-alone device (when connected to a PC) or in tandem with a PMM receiver. It fully meets all the standards in both swept and FFT mode, as selected by the user.

It is possible to switch the analog signal from the internal receiver to the analog output and connect it to any standard receiver by traditional coaxial cable, although this is not recommended due to scattering and other drawbacks typical of rod antennas.

The internal receiver structure features pre-selectors, attenuators and preamplifiers fully controlled either by the internal firmware or manually by the operator. Hence, a test set-up requires no additional receiver. An internal tracking generator allows a self-calibration procedure to guarantee optimum performance and accurate measurements. This tracking generator is part of an internal capacitance meter that is crucial not only for self-calibration, but also for verifying the grounding effectiveness of the antenna. The FR4003 can even become a field generator. In this case the antenna broadcasts the signal produced by the internal signal generator and can therefore be used to characterize environments or other receiving set-ups.

Standard PEMS controlling software is included with the FR4003. Thanks to its rechargeable and easily replaceable Li-ion battery, the FR4003 can work for several hours on its own and therefore with an unperturbed field.

Effective communication is ensured by a traditional Ethernet port as well as a fiber optic port.

An external DDA Click Analyzer makes the use of this measurement system more attractive and profitable than ever.

PMM Emission Suite software (included free of charge) is the ideal companion for this high performance receiver, featuring a full set of user-friendly functions and spectrogram for all EMI applications, test measurement and EUT debugging.

CA0010 Click Analyzer

The innovative CA0010 is the full compliant companion for the ER9000, ER8000 or 9010F EMI FFT receiver allowing performing any kind of click (discontinuous disturbance) analysis and measurement.

The conjunction of the PMM FFT EMI receiver with this click analyzer is capable of four simultaneous measurements at the frequencies of 150 kHz, 500 kHz, 1,4 MHz and 30 MHz and can work as a standalone setup for compliant tests. In addition, when connected to a PC, a dedicated software produces a full trace with additional information like IF and QP time diagram of every channel, graph of the detected clicks for each channel and a complete trace with offline Rewind-Play-Pause-Forward capability for any possible use.

This software can also manage a unique internal click calibrator able to generate all the signals required to check the analyzer performance in compliance with CISPR 16-1-1 requirements. It is possible to set all the relevant parameters such as amplitude and duration of each click, the interval between them, the number of click repetition and, last but not least, the amplitude of CISPR pulses. Indeed, unique on the market the CA0010 Calibrator embeds a full compliance B-Band CISPR 16-1-1 pulse generator allowing thus performing the test #2 and #3 of table 14 in CISPR16-1-1, without the need of any external additional generator.

The internal click generator is full compliant with the requirements specified in CISPR 16-1-1 and can be used to self-calibrate the CA0010 or any other external click meter.

The same high versatility is also reflected in the User Selectable Operating Modes: two rates/two upper quartiles, two rates/four upper quartiles, four rates/four upper quartiles and single run/double run (not conditioned by the previous ones).

Full compliant to all old and new “click” existing standards: CISPR 16-1-1:2019 Ed.5 and previous editions, CISPR 14-1:2020 Ed.7 and previous editions, CENELEC old and new equivalent versions of these two standards (EN 55016-1-1 and EN 55014-1). This Click Meter also features an internal 16 ampere LISN (although an external one can always be connected) and a switch operations counting unit, too.

The CA0010 has an outstanding dynamic range and saturation control, thanks to the internal tailored preselection, guaranteed by its CISPR full compliance RF front end.
