The Shieldex® Reverberation Chamber (VIRC) is a portable RF-shielded test enclosure designed for precise EMC testing and laboratory applications. Developed as a flexible and cost-efficient alternative to conventional reverberation chambers, it enables reliable measurements in the frequency range of 30 MHz to 18 GHz with an average shielding effectiveness of up to 95 dB. Its lightweight, textile-based and modular design allows for quick installation, easy transport, and customization to meet specific testing requirements.

The chamber is constructed from highly conductive Ag/Cu/Ni/Sn-plated nylon fabric, arranged in multiple layers to provide a durable, non-oxidizing shielding surface. Inside the chamber, a metallized stirrer generates a diffuse and homogeneous electromagnetic field, ensuring consistent and reproducible test conditions. Additional options such as doors, windows, lighting, ventilation with honeycomb filters, filter boxes, and various RF, power, and data feedthroughs allow flexible integration into different test environments.
